Here at Your Montessori Pre School & Day Nursery, we recognise the importance of a child’s relationship with food right from the moment they begin their weaning journey. We place a huge emphasis on cooking fresh, nutritious, homemade meals. Our in-house Chef takes delivery of fresh produce and ingredients twice a week and cooks and prepares all meals and snacks for our children on site every day. 

Our Chef has worked with MasterChef superstar Nisha Parmar to develop and design our seasonal menus and we take great pride in providing children’s favourites with a healthy twist.


Additionally, by growing fruit and vegetables in our own garden and cooking regularly with our children, they are able to see the full growth cycle of the food that they eat. Not only does this develop a child’s relationship with food from an early age, but it is also an engaging activity which all the children love to participate in. There is nothing more exciting for children than to pick their own fruit/veg for snack time!

We have four weekly menus designed to provide a variety of healthy and nutritious meals for your child and we cater for individual dietary needs and allergies. We change our menus twice a year, ensuring our options are seasonal. Our meals limit the use of refined sugar and salt and we pride ourselves on making meals from scratch.


In our preschool room, we encourage independence by allowing the children to help prepare some of their meals and snacks, which they love! All children in our Voyagers and Pioneers rooms serve and feed themselves, albeit under a closely watched eye! We use glass crockery in all rooms to help develop life skills.


We encourage children to try new food and use initiatives like “focus food of the fortnight” to create excitement around food that children may typically not enjoy.


Our dining experience truly sets us aside from other nurseries and we regularly share recipes with parents on request as well as taking feedback from parents when changing our menus.
