Voyagers Room
(2 – 3 years)

The Voyagers room is home to our children aged two to three years, where we continue to build on the foundations developed in Explorers.

Whether a child transitions internally or joins our nursery at this stage, our focus shifts towards developing independence and self-confidence.

Children are gently encouraged to complete simple tasks themselves, including:

• Taking shoes and coats on and off

• Feeding themselves

• Serving their own lunch

 

These everyday achievements help children feel capable and confident while preparing them beautifully for our pre-school room, Pioneers.

 

Learning remains largely play-based, with a balanced routine including activities, mealtimes and rest periods. At this stage we begin introducing early pencil control, mark making and more focused learning opportunities.

 

A typical day in Voyagers includes:

• Meals and snacks

• Circle time

• Planned activities

• Music and movement

• Outdoor play

• Rest and sleep time

• Extra-curricular activities

• Early focused learning opportunities

 

This stage plays an important role in building confidence, independence and curiosity.
